Camels and Electricity
This camel ride took us to another village of 25 families. This village has existed for 60 years and there is no electricity and access to water is 1 km away. There are about 100 sheep and cows, and the community makes most of it income from selling the animals milk. The families move from this location during the summer months and then return at the cusp of the monsoon. We met the village elders as well as an inspiring 10th grade boy who wants to be a scientist one day.
There are over 1.2 billion people in the world without access to electricity, and we share this image and information through a blog post.
