Suitcases full of books!

Our basketball family (members of the P.A. boys and girls basketball teams) ran a 48-hour fundraiser in anticipation of our trip to India.  In those short 48-hours, we raised $2,645.  We used a around $1,500 of that money to go toward Usborne books.  Usborne Books & More publishing company has a matching program where they donate 50% of the money you put in.  So, that landed us with around $2,250 worth of Usborne books.  It was a dream shopping for these kids with over $2,000 and they are amazing books.  We can’t wait to share them.  If you are curious to see the full list and details of the books we got, you can check them out here: http://bit.ly/1S3f4X9 (we got 11 different books but 208 TOTAL!)

Tonight, the players (and Lani's two daughters) helped pack up the suitcases. We filled 3 suitcases!  We are grateful for everyone that participated in the fundraiser, for Usborne and their matching program, and for the opportunity to take them abroad and share.
