Gratitude, Humility and Teamwork

Welcome to the Niswarth Hoops 2015 Blog site!  We are about a week away from traveling to Chennai for a unique service-learning program.  Eight girls and seven boys along with the head coaches from the varsity basketball team will travel with Raj Mundra to Chennai to explore the intersections of sport, education and culture.  Supporting our program will be three fantastic partners:  The American International School of Chennai, Crossover Basketball and Scholars Academy and Teach for India.  We will interact with multiple classrooms (government and private), organize basketball workshops, learn about some amazing NGO's, visit cultural sites, celebrate Thanksgiving, stay with host families and build our team chemistry as we approach our basketball seasons at Phillips Academy.

Our themes for the trip will be gratitude, humility and teamwork, and we will write, discuss and share our observations and reflections through this blog.
